Requirement Elicitation and Management
( One day Workshop )
About the Course :

It is well known that improper requirements are a major cause of project failure, irrespective of size and domain of the project. Studies show that failure to identify and manage requirements accounts for approximately that 60-75% of all defects encountered in a project. Also, requirement defects would cost about 100 times as much to correct if identified in an operational system.

This one-day course is designed to understand how to gather proper ‘requirements’ for a project and to manage them during project execution. The course begins with technically what the term ‘requirements’ mean and its associated issues. Differences and overlap between requirements development and requirements management is addressed.

The activities of requirements elicitation and the different techniques of elicitation are covered. Elements of requirements analysis and specification, together with the contents of a typical Requirements Specification document are discussed, followed by mechanism to manage changes to requirements and requirements traceability.
